1. Judging
Primary (local) round At each entry base, a panel of judges will use the point system to judge artworks, and the total earned points will determine the ranking.

1) The top artworks receiving the highest total number of points in the Open and Student Categories will be selected to participate in the final review.
2) The top artworks for the General Category will be selected from all entries and the top artworks for the Student Category will be selected from student entries.
3) From each entry base, 80 pieces will be selected, and a total of 240 pieces will participate in the final review.
4) In cases where one entrant has entered more than one artwork, the work that has received the highest number of points will be selected.
Final round The panel of judges composed of both Japanese and foreign judges will use the point system to judge artworks, and the total earned points will determine the ranking.
The winners of the General Category and the Student Category will be selected from all entrants and student entrants respectively.
1) Prize winners will be selected from both the Open and Student Categories that have received the highest total number of points from the judges.
2) Honorable mentions will be awarded to all artworks which have participated in the final review and were not selected as a prize winner.
*All prize-winning artworks’ points and ranking will be announced. However, this does not include the jury and committee’s special awards. All prize winners and those who have received honorable mentions will be informed of their points and ranking.
Jury and committee’s special awards This award will be given to artworks selected as the best by each judge and committee member.

*Entrants who are students will be simultaneously entered for both the Open and Student Categories. Cash prizes to the ranked winners (first prize to sixth prize) in the Open and Student Categories will overlap. However, cash prizes other than the ranked winners will not overlap and receive the higher amount of cash.
